ApparaDürer

Built in Nuremberg. In the year 2012.
The object is a homage to the artist-inventor from Nuremberg. His sketch of the “praying hands” true to the original in black and white, color-separated and reassembled by screen printing on acrylic glass.

This apparatus should serve not the optical, but the reality perspective. The X-ray image on the lower level of the plate corresponds in perspective to the “praying hands” on the acrylic pane, Dürer’s pane.
The eye of the beholder puts the two worlds together, which are only 5cm apart here.
